Okay, has anyone out there had cake at the Fox Hollow that is part of the package? To save money, my FH and I are going with their cake but I've heard bad things about it. Someone told me it was so bad. I'm worried it will be, as it will be the last thing the guests eat thus the thing they remember most. Help!

Re: Cake at the Fox Hollow
The cake is from Egra Bakery in Bethpage on Stewart Ave. This was a topic of discussion on the FH thread. Pretty much all the girls said it was good.

The cake included is from Erga bakery which also supplies the cakes to Chateau Briand and Westbury Manor.
My cake was awesome, no complaints what so ever and everyone loved the canolli filling

My cake was very good - no problems whatsoever with it.
If you are going with some kind of elaborate design, I highly recommend supplying a photo of what you want.

Re: Cake at the Fox Hollow
My MOH got married at Fox Hollow. She said the cake was awesome but I wouldn't know... I was dancing the entire time so I missed the cake! I hate when that happens!

Re: Cake at the Fox Hollow
as per the Fox Hollow thread, it sounds like many brides have expressed their concerns to Fox Hollow and Fox Hollow has discussed the concerns with Erga Bakery. I think the more recent brides have been happy with their cakes as they have taken measures to improve them.

Re: Cake at the Fox Hollow
You can go for a tasting at Erga's to make sure you like your cake in advance. I tried to set up a 'group tasting' for like 15 of us Scotto brides, and that didn't go over too well with the bakery (one lady does the wedding cakes!) but you can definitely go do it!!!

That is a phenomenal idea. Where is Erga located? I've forgotten. Thanks!

Bethpage, google Erga's Bakery for the number . . . . the lady is so sweet. Keep in mind, she's gone right now overseas, returning on September 18th (which was unfortunately the day I was asking for the tasting!!!) Her name is Lily, I think.

Re: Cake at the Fox Hollow
No one said anything about my cake until I asked. And if something is awful, people talk, haha. No one said anything bad, just that it was like any other cake. I wouldn't be overly concerned about it.
