I went to the Milleridge last week for my tasting and to finalize some plans...but couldn't decide on a cake. There are so many choices and I just couldn't make up my mind.
What kind of filling does everyone plan on having??? I'm just curious...and maybe your ideas will help me make up my mind.

my cake filling consist of lemon mousseline w/ lemon and chocolate sponge. something different and it tastes GOOD! can't wait for the guest to taste it.

Chocolate cake with White Chocolate Mousse filling AND Rasberry Mousse filling!
Strawberry filling and Conoli (sp) cream , yellow cake and whipped cream mmmmmmmmmmm!

They gave us a choice of the vanilla or chocolate cake...I have never heard or saw a wedding cake where the cake part of it was chocolate...is this something new?

I had yellow cake with Bavarian cream, strawberries & bananas. It sounded really weird to me but it was so yummy & everyone loved it

I wanted Cannoli filling but I was talked out of it by my mom and FH. They told me that everybody doesn't like it so we shouldn't get it. I Love Cannoli filling. But, I still have time to change it. So we got Strawberry and Chocolate Mousse filling (for now).
We are having a vienesse hour, so they promised me there would be cannoli there. So I may just have to settle for that!!!

Milleridge makes the BEST cakes... I used to work there and ate them a lot

My cake was 2 layers of yellow cake with canoli filling (in my opinion- EVERYONE likes canoli filling) and 2 layers of chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling.
I had butter cream icing (holds up better)

Ours was a chocolate cake with chocolate fudge rasperry filling. It was absolutely yummy!! We ate almost the whole top the next morning for breakfast. Our bakery was Black Forest in Lindenhurst....what a great bakery!!

I am not sure if the whole cake is going to be choclate or at least choclate filling but, I know part of it will be as most of my family are chocoholics (sp).
