Cake question for JT girls...
Are you going with the cakes that are pictured in the brochure they give you or are you giving them pictures in the hopes that the bakery they use can make the same cake within the price budget allowed? I don't think I'm thrilled with any that are in the brochure...

Re: Cake question for JT girls...
I'm going to submit some pics tomorrow and whichever one can be done in whipped cream, I'm using. They charge a lot more for fondant and ganache ($600 - $800 more!!!) and FH did not like buttercream, so we went with whipped cream.
So unless you want to pay extra, make sure any picture you give them is of a buttercream or whipped cream cake.
They can replicate any other cake, otherwise.

I really liked the ones they had in the book so I choose one from there.

I took a picture of a cake and my mom is a baker so she's making sugar flowers to place on the cake. I wanted Jt to make the cake with the flowers but they were charging me $400 extra.

good to know! i like buttercream so this should be easy!!! (hopefully!)
ETA: dumb question...is it more money to add color? all the cakes featured in the brochure are white...can I add red rosettes to my cake for the same price?
