Cake - what's your favorite bakery?

Where would you go if you had to pick up a small cake for dessert tonight?? I am DYING for cake... preferably chocolate but I don't know where to go to get a REALLY good one...

I want to pick it up on the way home so somewhere between Mineola and Massapequa would be great, but I'm open to anywhere to just tell me where to find good CAKE!

A Taste Of Home bakery in N.Bellmore in the CVS shopping center on N. Jerusalem Ave.

what about rainbow in copaigue or Black Forrest in Lindy. But I also have luck in waldbaums too

Rainbow is my FAV!! Ugh, now I'm dying for cake!! *must stick with diet!!*

Lindenhurst - Black Forrest Bakery! Thats where I got my chocolate wedding cake and it was to die for!

This is an old thread, but it's about CAKE!!!

I've never had a favorite bakery before, but Alpine Bakery on Rt. 111 made our wedding cake and it was sooooooooo good!!!!! Chocolate cake with chocolate fudge and chocolate frosting (DH's request), YUM!!!!!!

oh gosh...this restaurant in NC had this amazing red velvet cake...the 'icing' was like eating cheesecake...but it wasn't...we asked one day. i miss that place.
