I was a little shocked when yesterday we received a wedding gift in the mail from one of FH's aunts. The card was signed with her name plus like 7 other names. They're not attending the wedding, so it was nice of them to send a gift, but when FH opened the box, it was a piece of my crystal - ONE glass! I was like, you've got to be kidding me. How in the world could like 8 people send us ONE glass? FH's little stepbrother sent us 2 champagne flutes that he bought with his own money, but yet these people send us a glass?

It was just a little strange IMO.

haha thats funny..in the sense thats oem people just are out there
so for christmas just send them the envelope..and skip the card

send them a thank you card saying ' thank you for the lovely GLASS we are looking forward to sharing it everytime we sit down to dinner'

Did you register for single plates? I know usually people register for the place settings. I just about lost it when I read that they only sent you one dish. Maybe the single fork is next.

Oh, well- I guest it takes all kinds... Thanks for sharing. I needed a good story after a long day at work.

I'm sorry, i don't mean to make light of this, but you have my DH and I rolling on the floor. I love the thank you idea, Thank you for the GLASS, we look foward to sharing it at dinner. There has to be some kind of mistake, your not being a brat at all.

I'm sorry Ann, I really did have to laugh at this one. The Alabama folks are cracking me up!!! I thought the elephant salad tongs were great but, this is just as good! I can't wait to meet Clay's relatives at the RD! I think Long Island might be culture shock for those who make the journey! Girl, it gets better.

First of all though, my crystal is not expensive - it's $20 for a glass. And just because these people are from Alabama does not mean they're stupid, so she couldn't have thought that she was buying a set of crystal glasses for $20.

I of course do not EXPECT a gift from ANYONE whether they come or not, but like somebody else said, if you're going to give me ONE glass, you may as well just give me nothing at all!!!!

Ok, so here's the even better part of the story. I come home today to find another package on my stoop. It's from some people on FH's side who I don't even know. I open it up and it's.....ONE PLATE!!!!!!!!
So now I have one plate to go with my one glass! HA HA HA HA HA!!!!
W T F is up with these people????

OMG... I'm sorry.. but that is too funny...
