Callin all Disney Fanatics

Ok well it is official
I had been trying to get DH to go on a quick jaunt to WDW and he wouldn't bite--
But.....now I get to go at the end of the month for a bachelorette party and I can't wait!!!!

There are 9 of us going for 3 nights/4 days--
One of the BM's works for ESPN so we are getting amazing deals--

Would love ideas, suggestions, etc--- I havent been since 1999 (it was my first vacation with DH)
One of the best nights we had was onPpleasure Island in the comedy club--I picked up the phone and they did a skit and sang a song based on the questions they asked me about me and DH--we had only been dating about 6 months and it was hilarious---

I know that some of you have just been and some have trips coming up--- so would love to hear about some great things to do-- besides of course act like kids the entire time we are there!!!

Can't wait to hang out with Minnie & Mickey--although Pooh is my favorite!!!!

We are going in November for Thanksgiving and I cannot wait!!! We haven't been since early 2001, but I highly recommend La Nouba, the Cirque de Soleil show at Disney. It is a fantastic experience. Have a great time!!!

Okay, I am the HUGEST DISNEY FREAK EVER!! I even got engaged at Disneyland! I am so excited for you! I worked at WDw on and off for 5 years, and my sister works there now. It is so awesome. I am going through withdrawl and its only been 4 months!
Mission: Space has recently opened at EPCOT and its supposed to be AMAZING! I havent' been on it yet but my sis, and parents have been on it and they say its incredible.
Margaritas from Mexico are a must for me. They're just soo good.
PI has a new club called Motion that plays Top 40 music. I don't know if thats your thing, but it always has a good crowd. \
I can go on forever. Let me know if there you have any questions I can help you with. Like I said, I live and breathe this stuff.

Thanks for the suggestions
Nancy--keep the ideas coming-- we want it to still feel like a bachelorette party--the bride thinks she is getting away easy cause it is such a family place!!! but she has had her in hand in embarrasing the rest of us so we really want to get her (so to speak)but still keep it tasteful--
So any ideas on how to do that would be great

Re: Callin all Disney Fanatics

We just booked our next trip down there and I can't wait although I have to, until May.

You are going to have such a great time.

Some of our favorites are:
Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner
Beach Club on Pleasant Island (although now I want to check out the new top 40's place:)
Bob Jackson at the Riverside Lounge is hilarious.
The Beach Club & Crystal Palace have awsome breakfast buffets.

Epcot:
Test Track is my favorite ride of all of WDW. The ride in Norway is pretty cool. DYING to try the mars thing!! Body wars is pretty good.

Magic Kingdom:
Space Mountain (of course) & Buzz Lightyear are great! I like the Big Thunder Roller Coaster even though there are no big drops or anything.

MGM:
Tower of Terror is good. I am too chicken to try the Aerosmith ride. Although the food is enh, I like the Sci Fi Drive In for lunch. Nothing great, but the table is in a car.
Stars Wars & The Muppet Show are fun!

Christine- Ride the Rockin Roller coaster, if you can stand tower of terror, you can stand it. It's really fun, and really quick, plus it's in the dark, so you don't know that you're going upside down till you're actually there, and by the time you realize it, you're already back down. Plus, there's no huge hill or slow part of the ride, once it starts you keep moving, and before you know it, it's over. I love it.
Have you been on Tower of Terror recently? They replaced the lap bars with seat belts, it ROCKS! It's so much scarier, i never screamed so loud and laughed so hard in my entire life.
Also wanted to add, Mission:Space wasn't all it's cracked up to be. Maybe it's just me but there is A LOT of hype about it, and I thought it was just ok. There are cast members every two feet outside the entrance making you read the warning signs because apparently there were a lot of people getting sick while the ride was in the testing phase. I think they must have toned it down a bit because I didn't feel anything.

Laura, not sure of good clubs down there, it's not really my scene. I've heard that PI is ok, but CityWalk at Universal is better. I will have to agree with the above poster though, go see La Nouba if possible, it's really great. Even with the employee discounts it's still a little pricey though.

Re: Callin all Disney Fanatics

I'm definintely with SomedayBride about the Rockn' Rollercoaster. It is my absolute favorite ride at WDW. It is a definite must!
Go drinking around the world at EPCOT. Its a lot of fun and you can try a lot of different types of drinks.
Many of the WDW resorts have spas. That might be a nice idea for you girls to do one morning after a night of heavy partying!
Pleasure Island has many clubs, and Universals City Walk has more restaurants. Margaritaville at CityWalk is great. There is a houseband that plays there and they are unbelieveable! They play Jimmy Buffet stuff sometimes but a whole range of music.
I'm not sure if you're renting a car, but there are a lot of good clubs in Downtown Orlando.

Best advice I can give is reserve in advance for all your sit down meals!
50's prime time cafe is great (MGM)
princess breakfast in the castle (magic kingdom)
The seafood restaurant in epcot that is also an aquarium is great too!
