CALLING ALL 9/03 BRIDES!!!

I was just wondering where all you 9/03 brides were at with your vendors & things. EVERYONE keeps telling me that I am soooooo ahead of myself, but I feel like I'm lagging, and that not everything is going to be done by the time the wedding comes around......

I agree completely Marissa. All of the other slim down boards were approved right away and no one complained but with this everyone is going nuts. Since we didn't get our own then we should be put back into the BHB board. The 03 and BHB are repetitive. We will just keep this thread going and continue sharing our info.

Some ladies on the board heard that we were getting our board and flipped out! We were pretty much accused of being a clique and territorial and they were feeling left out by all the boards up there... LIW heard this and decided that they would do an all 03 board....

I don't mind not having a 9/03 board but I find it a little annoying to have an all 03 board.... I don't think we need it... What can be accomplished differently on the 03 board vs. what can be accomplished in BHB... I personally find it a little unfair then that they have only 04 brides up there and May on its own....

When May reached 1000, (keep in mind May has Jennbaby, Lizlen, etc...) a whole production was made- congrats and all.... We reached 1000 and the brides really got angry at us.... I was just a little insulted..... We did not do anything wrong...

Giving you all an update! We are meeting with the rabbi next week for a Jewish pre-cana, my bms are ordering their dresses by Feb 10th, and I am losing some weight... which is nice. I would like to be my gial by July.... For first fitting....

Marisa - I agree with what you said - the '03 board is pointless!

Right now my biggest dilemna is the fg dress! I found one I like, but its expensive and all of the cheaper ones I don't like!! I don't know what to do! I also need a videographer!

What about Wild Rose for video? I have Bill but Marie is supposed to be amazing! Are they completely booked on the day?

Another option- what about JOVON for video? A little more expensive but my friend is using them and said that they are awesome!

B rett M atthews video or Bellarino also?

I am not sure but here is what I can tell you... they have a set team already that works with Telmo and Beth..... I think you are using them, no? If I had been able to get my hands on Telmo and Beth for the day (Hint Hint) I would use their videography because that set team works together so often and don't interfere with each other.... I can ask my friend how much it costs if you would like.

Also def. call Wild Rose.... If Marie is still available, they are the best!!! I LOVED them!!! They are my favorite vendor!!! They don't disappoint. You HAVE to check them out!

I just wanted to share that we've officially booked our honeymoon...We're off to Spain- Barcelona and the Spanish Riviera!! I am so excited I can hardly wait!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello All-

This is my first time on this website so bear with me for any silly questions. I recently became engaged on 12/14/02, but due to my grandother getting emergency surgery and my aunt dying the day before Christmas Eve, planning was slightly delayed. I have been driving my fiance CRAZY!!! The past few weekends we have spent hours driving everywhere from LI to NJ and even Tarrytown!!! I really wanted something different for my wedding, but I can't even decide on the season let alone the place. Although I love Oheka I haven't gone to look because I know I can't afford it. So far I am torn between Carlyle, The Carltun and Russo's on the Bay. I know Russo's offers the most, but the other two are so elegant. Can anyone offer feedback on these choices or maybe better places to consider. Being Italian I need excellent food and abundant. Also can you give me views on either a wedding in August or a fall wedding?

HI! Here I am....been bopping all over the place. Yes, I think having an 03 board is retarded if they are not going to make it an exclusively Sept board. What's the point? AND, because I like drama and controversy (my job is pretty boring) pray tell exactly WHO it is that has been beeotching that we got our own board? This I would like to know. It's ludicrous. Either give us our own board like the May brides, or put us ALL back at BHB, including the May brides and 04. K, I'm done for now.

Update: We booked Wild Rose as you well know...totally psyched although Larry is fighting me on the camera being at his house to get ready part. He feels very strongly that he does not want the camera there, but I think it would be charming and they will already be there for our formals, which are taking place at his house. I need to win this argument.
Second, We are continuing to argue over when we are leaving for the honeymoon. He feels strongly that he cannot be bothered to get his sheeite together in time for the 11 am charter to St. Lucia the day after the wedding, which I think is ridiculous, but he is standing firm. SO - either we leave on Monday (more $$, not a non-stop and we run the risk of taking a puddle jumper - not an option - from Jamaica tp St. Lucia) or we wait a week to take the next charter to St. Lucia - they only run on Sundays. Yes I realize he is being ridiculous, but he is a very stubborn man and will not be dissauded....ideas/

I think the 03 board is stupid-- the 04 board is kind of stupid too especially now since most people who are getting engaged now are going to be 04 brides-- soon they are going to have to break out into months too. JMO. Of course I have nothing wedding related to report I just wanted to add my 2 cents about the 03 Board.
