Calling all Milleridge Brides...

This is my first post ladies....My finance and I have been engaged for just under 3 weeks. We ended up booking the Milleridge Cottage for 7/11/04 and couldn't be more excited! Ever since I stepped into this place I knew that I wanted to be married here. Anyway, who ever has been there for a wedding, is planning a wedding there or has actually had the pleasure of BEING married there, tell me your thoughts. I know I have a while until the big day, but I'm very curious. Thanks!

Re: Calling all Milleridge Brides...

The Milleridge is GREAT! I am getting married there on 12/29. It is absolutely beautiful at x-mas time and any time of year! We are using the Carraige House since I wanted a smaller wedding, about 100 people. But, you will not be disappointed. The food is great, it is wonderful getting centerpieces and cake included..two less vendors to worry about. Theyare wonderful to work with and are totally on top of your wedding planning. My banquet manager actually called me like a week ago to talk about final details that they usually do a month in advance, but she remembered I was from out of town and that I would be home over Thanksgiving to do some things, so she was calling early to get me on her calendar to make sure we would have time to meet. So, they are very accomodating and you will be so happy with your decision. Also, I used to work there for about 3 years and it was a great place to work and everyone always has great things to say about the Milleridge.

Re: Calling all Milleridge Brides...

As my other half just said our tasting was great!!! Matt and I knew the second we walked in we wanted to have it there. We booked on the spot and even let the 2 Saturday nights they had left dictate our date. We are very excited and promise to give a detailed review when we get back. Matt put pics of the main room and atrium on our website http://jenandmatt11_16_02.tripod.com/ and some of the other girls have posted some in past posts so do a search. Let either of us know if you have questions.

Re: Calling all Milleridge Brides...

This is also my first time posting a message and when I was searching the site I was so happy to see other Milleridge brides. My fiance and I went yesterday for our tasting and it was fabulous. We are getting married on September 27, 2003 and couldn't be happier that it is at the Milleridge. We are in the Cottage b/c we expect around 250 guests. I look forward to hearing more about Milleridge and hopefully getting some advice on other vendors dj, photographer etc, that others have used.

Re: Calling all Milleridge Brides...

I'm another Milleridge bride. I am so excited about having the reception there. My fiance and I have never been to a wedding there but when we tell people that we are getting married there everyone only has good things say. I also can't wait for Jenhos and Matthos post-wedding posts.

Re: Calling all Milleridge Brides...

I got married in the Cottage this past July. Loved it!!! It was the first place we looked at and then I couldn't look at anything else the same way.
Everything was wonderful...the food, service, the treatment we got, the gardens outside to take pictures, the way it was set up. I had no complaints whatsoever about the place!! Would do it over in a heartbeat!

Re: Calling all Milleridge Brides...

Thanks so much for the information. We are getting ready to meet with photographers and dj's - who did you guys use and would you recommend them? The Milleridge recommended Paul Marino and Great Neck photography and several dj's but would love to hear who you used and if you liked their work.

RichsBride - you pictures look great. So happy to hear you had a great day.
