I was curious how many people we have on this website that currently do not live in the Long Island (or Tri State) area who are planning an out of town wedding on Long Island like I am.
I will start since I am currently living in Pittsburgh, PA and am planning my wedding in Long Island.
If you are from out of town please list where you are from (and I don't necessarily consider NJ really out of town so much since it is really close..well at least some parts :) ).

I guess I'm an out of town bride now that I'm living back in Stockholm. I did plan most of my LI wedding before I left though!

I live in central NJ so although I some consider close I feel pretty out there.....it can easily take me 2 hours to get out to LI - sometimes longer.
Same thing here. On a good day - we can make it in 1.5 hours - but it typically takes us 2 hours to get there....
ditto central jersey here orwhat i call south since im from LI ... takes me 2.5 horus each way to get home i did all my planned from here basically over the net.. met with all my vendors once.. and only one vendor for each category since i did so much research.. worked out great! just have faith in ur vendors and all will go smoothly

i'm planning from Philly. I grew up in LI and my parents still live there. Planning long distance hasn't been too hard luckily Philly and LI aren't a really far drive...
