Can a yellow gold wedding band be changed to white gold???

Can it be dipped or something?
My FH wants to use my Grandfather's wedding band when we get married, but it's yellow gold & neither of us really care for that, has anyone done or heard of this?

It can be dipped in rhodium, and it will look like white gold. I've had this done with some of my yellow gold jewelry.

How much do you think that runs? It's a simple band.
Ballpark figure? It can't be that much.

I think it cost me about $30 to have a ring of mine dipped. I don't remember, but it wasn't more than $50.

I've had this done to a few pieces of my jewelry. It looks great and doesnt cost much. You'll probably have to have it re-dipped every year. Definately worth it!!

it can be plated...all white gold really is is yellow gold with fhodium plating over it

You can definitely have it dipped and it is pretty cheap--my aunt had hers done and it was about $35. But it does wear off, especially if your FH is hard on his jewelry. You'll need to have it redipped periodically.

Tri-County, Diamond district in the city, any jeweler should be able to do it or reccommend someone else who can.

I had yellow gold diamond earrings dipped in white gold (that I got for my communion)--they came back beautiful and cost $30 to have them dipped.

A friend of mine got her yellow gold rings dipped in platnum for like $30.00.
They look great and she said if she ever wanted to go back to gold there's a solution that will remove it.
