Can anyone?

...give me an idea of what a String trio costs? Or a harpist?

Does anyone have vendor suggestions?

Thank you!

No earthly idea. Wild guesses - harpist $900 for CH, string trio $1200 for CH.

I've heard of Janet King for harp and Vintage String Quartet...

This is pretty accurate. I've contact Janet King via e-mail, she was too expenisive for me.

This may be a little risky, but try contacting a music teacher at your local high school to see if any music students would be willing to do it... or even if the music teacher themselves know of anyone who is willing to do it.

You can also try the music dept. at local colleges. I contact the music dept. at Hofstra and they said they would post my information and request on their job board... they say students do this all the time... worth a shot.

My sister had a string quartet and I think she paid just under $1,000.

I can find out who she used if you're interested.

Thanks! I tried to contact my high school which had an amazing music program, but I haven't gotten a response. I feel like if I don't book this soon I won't have anyone. Hofstra is a great idea!

We are using Get In Tune for our reception and we have a harpist playing during our ceremony (for a total of 1 hour) and she is only $395

I'm having a jazz trio at my cocktail hour and it is $1,100 through Tommy's Tunes. A string group is probably about the same, I would think.

I would love to go with just one musician, but then i really have my heart set on a cellist...

I left it open... I didn't want to low-ball and have no one respond.
