I am fluent in Croatian. used to know some italian, which i need to get back into.

Alina, Russian and Croatian are very different. A lot of people tend to think its the same. When i hear russian, i can pick up about 2 words out of the whole conversation. usually the common words, like yes, no, stuff like that.

but my husband can speak 7 almost 8 languages
- Brasilian Portuguese (native lang)
- English
- Portuguese (it is a very different dialect )
- Spanish
- French
- Italian
- Russian
- German (that one he is learning now)

Yeah, but where did you dig it up from????

I took loads of Italian in school and some spanish too. I've been to Italy 3 times this year, so it's coming back to me. I actually speak both about the same.

I can speak and understand Spanish but I pretend not to. Why? Because I often catch spanish speakers talking about me and the look on their faces when I say 'La rubia habla y comprende espanol.' is priceless.

I dont, but my FH is Fluent in spanish- he was born in ecuador, and I understand A LOT when his family speaks... and he taught himself Italian! Gotta love him!
