I've always said that I am proficient in German (not fluent), but it's been a while since I've really spoken it, so now I'm not so sure. I definitely can understand it though.

Ich spreche ein bischen Deustch ('I speak a little German' - though the spelling can be wrong). My stepmother insists that I don't speak English well enough to call it fluent - this coming from a woman who got a perfect 800 on the verbal section on the SATs!

I speak Spanish fluently and Fh speaks Greek fluently. He's trying to teach me Greek, but it's really a hard language to pick up

I'm fortunate enough to know a little of two: I speak passable Russian and if JennRenee and I eavesdropped on the Italians together we could probably understand the whole conversation.

Re: Can anyone else speak another language!
I can speak the greek alphabet and thats about it.
I used to be really good in italian (great grandmother and grandmother spoke it fluently) and I took 6 years of it in school, and all I know now is how to say my name and where is the bathroom.
My friend taught me 2 words in armenian and surprisingly they arent bad words

Re: Can anyone else speak another language!
I know the Russian alphabet...learned in the 7th grade
And I know enough Spanish to figure out if my FMIL is talking about me...I should be able to speak it much better (after taking it in H.S. and college) but I'm too shy to...but if I got lost in Puerto Rico I could manage to survive!
