Can anyone tell me roughly how much it is to replace windows each?
I want to do the 6 front windows but I think if we could it would be great to get them all done.

I've heard rough estimates of $300/window but that will vary greatly depending on what type/size of window you get and who's installing it.

Thanks Lisa the front ones are double hung and the rest of the house are casements, which I hate, I may even want to change them who knows. But I was hoping to get a ball park so I can see if this is in the budget for this year or next Home ownership

I know a lot about this because we got estimates from a ton of people. Obviously, the size of window matters. If the windows you are removing are steel that also really increases the price. If they are not steel, you should be able to get a double hung for under $400. If you have steel, they will probably be about $600.
For 21 windows, we had estimates ranging from $7500-13,5000. But the cheapest estimate came from a friend of my dad's. So I think we got a discount. But they were the highest ranked vinyl window. I am really happy with the installation. They installed all 21 windows today!!!

Our estimate is $7,500. That is with one bay window, 6 windows and 1 bathroom window. They will be Andersons.

What are steel windows? How do you know if you have these?
We need to replace, but haven't yet because of money. We have close to 40 windows in the house so it's too overwhelming to think about it. My mother said to plan on $500 per window if you want really good ones.
