Can I ask how much you are paying for..

Flowers $5k (but this also includes the huppah which is entirely made out of flowers and 18 tables of high centerpieces of roses and orchids)

Invites, menus, programs, place cards, calligraphy $1,800 (for 200 each)

Favors $200 (I have 80 left over but they are basically claimed).

flowers- $4000

Inviations- $2000
( including place cards)

favors- donation- $1000

flowers: $1,200 (no church flowers)
invitations: $275 appx.
favors: $200-including the ribbon and boxes for 50 favors.

flowers: close to 3K
invites: 1K
favors: not sure yet...

Flowers - $1250 This includes 10 LCP
Invites - $120 - DIY
Favors - $300

flowers $2200
favors $530
invitations $350

depends on # of CP I am gonna need, but right now it is at about $2600 (w/o tax). That includes 17 CP (1/2 high, 1/2 low), placecard table decor, 6 Bo-Ks (including mine), 9 bout, 3 corsages and pew decor.

Invitations - hoping to be less than $500 - we are going very simple.

Favors - Budgeting about $5 per favor - so around $500 plus some money for favor tags and wrap - probably about $750

then are you doing anything else in lieu of favors to thank your guest?? cause i do agree favors are a waste of money - but i don't know how else you 'thank' them.

I don't know why anyone needs to be thanked with a thing. The invite to share in your day is enough in my opinion!! the nicest wedding i went to didn't have any favors. Yes, its a nice gesture if you have the cash to spare but I'd rather see the couple put it towards the honeymoon rather than give me something i'll throw out. I am still debating on favors (making my own) but that would be it.

I have recv'd favors that were a waste..but now there are so many great favors out there that you can actually use and truly like.....

I know mine will definitely be used by my guests..

Flowers $2200

Invitations $250 for 125 invitations and response cards and inside envelopes

Favors - $225 for 220 wine stoppers + $65 for 220 ribbons with our names on them

Flowers-2000
Favors-500 (we are donating it as a favor...so I can justify the expense)
Invites-cheap.. my mother works for a printing company

Favors: $125 (matches & napkin rings)
Flowers/Decorations: $800-$1000 (DIY/silk flowers)
Invitations: not sure yet, but DIY-ing to keep costs down.

I have only gotten a few estimates, but I guess alot of the estimates depend on how many people you have.

Invites - $375. for 125 invites
Flowers- $1600 for 16 tables roughly

we're not doing favors for the same reason. the only favors I have ever gotten use out of was chocolate truffles... and they're around $3-$4 a box. it's an unneeded expense. the last few weddings I attended did not give out favors and no one noticed.

ETA: the only thing we might do is the Jordan almonds in an organza bag. FH comes from an Italian family and it's tradition for them to put 5 or 7 almonds in a pouch. That cost will be minimal.

his big italian family and my big puerto rican family will notice if I don't give out favors! It would be the big bochinche (big gossip) after the wedding about how cheap I was not to give out favors -

same here.... I went to a multi millionaires daughters wedding and there were no favors.

I think favors are good if they can be used - it's a nice way to say thank you to your guests for coming...

I'm paying $2200 for flowers and $6 for my wine bottle favors.

Flowers: $2000
Invitations: $800 for 150
Favors: (didn't get them yet but they are going to run me around $5.50 each)

(edited, forgot to add amount of invitations)

Invitations: $50 buks for 50 (did them myself and they came out GREAT)

Favors: $160 for 40 favors (ice cream scoopers)

Just some background- it is a very small charity (Brooklyn/Queens chapter of Big Sister/Big Brothers) that my sister does fundraising for and that was important to me and my husband. He was a big brother and my sister is a big sister. We planned on giving 500 but they told my sister they need to raise 500 to hire an MFT intern for the fall. That made being extra generous easy when you KNOW what the money is being used for.
