Can I do red on red?

Can I do red on red?

I am getting married in December of 2009 and I really want my BMs to wear dark red dresses.

My dilemma is what color flowers would you put with it? I think yellows and oranges are too fall, and I dislike cala lillies and wouldn't want them to have white bouquets. Is it terribe to do red boquets with maybe a few green accents to signify the season? Will it look ugly?

my friend got married in dec. and she had ornaments in her boq's. it was a really nice touch and i think it will break up the red.she used gold, green, red. but you could do whatever.

My girls had dark red dresses with yellow and white bouquets. I only have pictures of the BoK's and the girls dresses in separate albums. Hopefully next week I will have pictures of them holding the Boks.

I think that if you like the way it looks then you should def. do red on red

i think its all about personal taste. i've seen all kinds of photos of red BM dresses....if you google images of 'red bridesmaids dresses' you'll get some good ideas.

if the red flowers were a few shades darker or lighter than the dresses that could look nice because they wont get lost in the dress.

I was in a wedding and wore a red dress. The bride carried white roses and we carried a mix of red and white. The red was also a darker red than the dress. They looked very pretty.

what about adding accents of like gold, silver, (off) white, or even pink

im getting married the day after u and im doing red bridesmaid dresses. im gonna do red and white roses with some green in between. i want those colors for christmas!

ive seen red on red but you have to be careful of the shade. what bout reds and pinks with a little bit of cream(they have champagne roses) to break it up a little bit

Try adding just a little of a different color to accent on the red.

I am doing red white and silver to break it up. The girls dresses are red with a white sash, so I didn't want the flowers to clash.

I am doing red dresses and the flowers are going to be lime green. Im in the spring so I didnt want darker xmas red but you can do greens or golds....I like gold with red better than silver

Why not all white? You have the all red bq - that is how I kinda did but my colors were green, ivory orange. I realized you said you didn't want to do white after I posted why not do white but it really makes a great contrast in photographs.

I would do light greens maybe?

Bring a swatch of the fabric to your florist. They will have ideas for you. And try Googling 'Red Weddings', 'Red Inspriation Boards' etc. I originally thought I was doing red dresses so I have lots of pics I saved. Here are a few ideas...Hope it helps!
