So we were thinking about getting married in either Nov. or Mar...But we have been getting better prices for Nov and we love the fall :) So my question is can I do without stressing out big time?? We were thinking the Thatched Cottage. We went last weekend and I loved it! Has anyone been there?

Our engagement will be for 8 months only, and I havent really been stressed. I would have done it in less if possible! I say go for it, if you have the money for it.
You need to be organized, and especially in the beginning try to get a lot of the major vendors, but right now I haven't been doing anything for a couple weeks, and I'm still ahead! 5 months left, so I got most done in 3 months :)

i think 8 months is very do-able. The first stpe is picking your venue and then taking it from there. After you book your venue you should then start looking at photographers since the better one's always book first. But I think you can do it...just be organized...

Yeah my advice would be to do things like this:
-RH/church (if you need that) ASAP!!
-look for dresses right away too, but you have time (try to get it by the 6 month mark)
-Photography/DJ after hall/church
These are the BIGGIES that will get booked the quickest. Then you can pace yourself with everything else.

i am doing it in 9 and feel like its TOO much time!
It's doable...I think it's almost better b/c you have less time to sweat little stuff (and make yourself and FH crazy).

I agree! We're doing 11 months, but didn't really start any of the planning until about 9 months because it was during the holidays.
I'm doing november as well and really didn't have any trouble getting our favorite vendors and such! I think it's a perfect amount of time!

yeah, 8 months is totally doable! if i had the cash, i would do it in 8 months ha. As long as you book ur RH/Ceremony location now and order your dress soon after you should be fine. You can prolly fine a photographer within 8 months or less and everything else will come with ease! good luck!

Fall is our fav time of yr too! The scenery is just gorgeous. Go for it, its soooo doable! I've been engaged since 8/08 and was bored for a while bc while with some things you can book yrs in advance, others you can't so I felt like I was at a holding pattern. Plus you have us gals here for support and to help bounce ideas off of our heads. Good luck mami! And most of all have fun with it!

ive been there for a wedding. its beautiful and i know they have packages! u can totally do it in 8 months. im taking my time because im in grad school and working otherwise we would be getting married a lot sooner.

i would say def! most of the planning, like booking vendors and stuff is done in the begining, then the rest pretty much have to do more toward the end...
i had a big gap in my planning where everyone like how is the planning going and i was like well its done...lots of stuff i cant do till it gets closer!
just as long as you book all your vendors and decide on all the other stuff you can def pull it off!
