Can I have 2 MOH? Please help!

Have a situation. Can someone give me proper etiquette. My sister is my moh and she is a sweetheart. I lover her but she is really young- 21- doesn't understand much about weddings and what needs to be done. She is also too busy to truly focus on the wedding.... Maybe it is a little overwhelming. One of my BM is my best friend and has been beyond wonderful!!! She has on her own cut out pics in magazines in bm dresses, come with me twice, tried on more than 30 bm dresses, and bought the gown with me... she has been to so many places and has taken my wedding so incredibly seriously tha I want to well up. Can I make her MOH also?

Go for it! Is she married? My sister did that and had a maid and a matron?? even if she is not married I still say go for it, she sounds like a gem of a friend and will take the role quite seriously!

Is one your sister though? My mother is like- It will take the honor away from your sister and I don't want to do that. She is obviusly on a diff plane than everyone else.

Yes you can. My best friend was my maid of honor and my sister was my Matron of honor.

Of course!! I have come to see that more often than not, a lot of times the bride does have two moh's--like debbie said if she is married (ur friend) you can have a matron and a maid. Do you think your sister would even mind?

You can definitely have 2 MOH's. I was one in my cousin's wedding and so was her GF. It didn't bother me at all!!

YOu can have as many as you want. You're the bride - it's up to you! I'm having 2 because I have 2 best friends and didn't want to have to choose one over the other.

I had two!!! I asked my Best Friend (since kindergarten) but she lives in jersey, and my aunt was doing EVERYTHING with me...so i asked her also...and im glad i did..

I have both of my sisters as my MOH. I also do have a friend that is just as involved in my bridal party. My sisters are both young and my friend is helping them with everything and knows that if I didnt have my sisters she would be my MOH. Its totally up to you, but either way i am sure your friend is just so happy to be involved in this special time and if it means hurting your sister you may want to reconsider.

I have two MOH's, one is my 15 year old sister (who really cant do a lot of MOH things, and the other is my best friend). They will both stand up for me, however my friend is really doing all the work!

christy- do you think it would be okay to have 2 when my sister is 21.... that is old enough. My sister says she would be fine with it, I just don't want to hurt her feelings or make her feel less important. She, obviously, is my most valued and cherished friend in the world....

Yes, I still think it is ok to have two. Explain to her how much you love her, but you would also like your other MOH to share in standing up for you. She wont be offended, she will probably still be honored to be a MOH! Dont worry, my girls were fine about it.
