I found invitations that I love and I just showed them to a friend of mine..granted we have VERY different taste but she told me that they are the ugliest things she's ever seen! ANd then she called them hideous!!
Are they hideous???!!

Hmmm is your friend an idiot? Not only are thei NOT hideous, I love them!! Is that letterpress? That was my dream for my invites...I love them, really. I wish I would have done something like that.

ETA: I could be very biased because my colors were silver and blue...

Awww thanks..I'm not sure if they are letterpress..I'm waiting for the sample still but she has another website..www.papelvivo.com and I got some samples from there and they were SO nice too. They are so thick feeling and you can definitely feel the letters on them but I think if they were letterpress they would cost way more then they do.
ANd yes, my friend is an idiot!!!

I think they're letterpress...and if they're not, they look like it. I love both the sites. Love all the invites. These are gorgeous and I would personally love to get something like this for someone's wedding!

My taste has always been different from most peoples but my friend really made me feel bad when she called them hideous ya know?

The only thing that I don't care for is that the colors don't match up. It just bothers me a tiny bit, but I love the design.

I love those! THey are really pretty and different. Go for it and don't listen to anyone else (except FH of course). Good luck!

regardless of her taste she should have been more sensitive because you are her friend and you like different things.
they would not be what i would pick b/c i'm traditional but whatever makes you happy is what you should go with.

They are definitely not my taste, but I wouldn't call them ugly or hideous - just not my taste.

i personally think they are gorgeous. regardless of whether ppl love em or hate em they have to admit they are classy and elegant.

I love them also!! They are different & unique, don't worry about what your friend thinks, no matter whatever your decision is people are going to love it or hate it, no matter what it is. Your not getting married to please other people, do what pleases you & your fiancee. I would get them.

Honey, your invitations are gorgeous and also elegant. Very couture. Beautiful taste and choice. Please do not listen to your friend.

I love them, so much so that I used the color concept as the inspiration for my own invite design. I love all the studioapril.com invites.

I really like them. I like having a branch or floral design on the invites, and I love that your RSVP card and invitation are two different shades of blue. It's a little different.

i love the invite! i think it's so... city chic! it's much better than some of wedding invites i've seen so far. go for it! your friend apparently knows nothing about style - hahaha! i'm so mean! but what she said to your potential invites.. it being the ugliest is also mean of her! yes, screw her!

i abosolutely love, love, love, love, love the invite set! go for it!
