thanks!! I can't wait to go see it in person! I want to make sure those pick-ups aren't 'too much'. It's tissue taffeta and i heard its a really nice material.

What does you dress look like? For me, my dress is really big and has pickups so I wouldn't want the dress but it's very nice. I like the fabric

Very pretty, but I wonder how heavy it is, like can you dance in it? I worry about things like that.

i love the top part, but i personally dont like the bottom part b/c i think it might be too fluffy....mind you i am a shorty and too puffy overwhelms me so that might be why i feel this way....i love the color though!

Re: can I please have your honest opinion on....
I wore the strapless satin version of this dress for my BF wedding in june 09. We wore a celadon dress with ivory sash. It looked pretty but there were some alteration issues with the dresses. The plus about the dress is that more pick-ups can be added to the dress to raise the hem if the dress is too long. But they also came out really easily if the dress was stepped on. But that could also be because the satin was heavy. As i think about it now, the tissue taffeta will probably work much better with the pick-ups than the satin. I also think it would be very pretty for a winter wedding. Good luck!

Another thing I just remembered...the sash was incredibly difficult to tie and would come undone a lot. Just something to consider.

I really like the color and fabric for a december wedding...i agree i dont love the sash (not the fact that there is one but rather the length and where it is on the model lol)

I like it but I think it really depends on your dress.

Thanks ladies! right now, I have not picked out my dress...but I'm really narrowing it down with what I like and don't like. Are you thinking my dress would need to be fancier or does it not matter?
The tissue taffeta is supposedly a lighter material so it doesn't seem like it would be heavy...but I haven't gone down to have one of my girls try it on yet. Thanks for all the points to consider...especially the fact that the pickups may come out. I would have never thought of it.

I would definitely pick your dress first... you want to limit your BM dress choices by what you pick for yourself, not the other way around.
You might want to wait to make sure your dress isn't too similar to the BM dresses, or that the level of 'fanciness' is the same... you don't want to pick a super formal BM dress and then fal in love with a more casual, slinky wedding dress.

i hear ya! I defintely won't be going for slinky..that's for sure. I'll be looking more towards A-line or ball gown. I'm loving James Clifford for example.

It depends on your dress, have you picked it yet? Maybe I need to look in your album...it would be nice for a winter wedding but I would be afraid of it outshining the bride's gown!!
So IMHO a bit too much. But very pretty (minus the long sash bow)

For me, my dress is a big Cinderella esque ball gown, so my girls are going to be in short dresses. I don't want them in dresses that resemble mine because I want them to stand out and me as well. Some girls do similar dresses because they like the look. It's really what you prefer. Like if you choose a one shoulder wedding dress, if you don't like matching, you probably don't want to pick a one shoulder bridesmaid dress.
