Please note - i am not saying this to anyone specific at all...but i'm noticing a trend lately....
Someone posts something at 9:00.....there are no answers by 9:07, and at 9:10 - they are already commenting with , 'guess not'...or many other things, some of which, honestly, are snotty....
Please, PLEASE, give people a chance to read & reply.
Sometimes, people are writing you back a longish reply and get caught up in something at work, or the phone rings...
Your views may be at 20 and you have zero replies...but i don't personally comment on everything I read. If something has NOTHING to do with what i know about, i read it and don't comment...
Anyway - what i'm trying to say is give people a chance to respond before commenting about how no one is commenting.
Again - not aimed at anyone imparticular, just a trend i'm noticing....

I usually bump my threads (that I'm looking for opinions on) every 3 or 4 hours, b/c I like to hit every crowd. Actually, thats not really related to this topic, but I've already typed this out, so I'm going to reply anyway.

I have noticed that too, and I find that immediately after the OP says 'guess no one cares,' you'll see a ton of responses, which MAY mean people are 'GUILTED' into writing something. Like Jess said, just because people don't respond, it doesn't mean they don't care. It just means that the right people - those who have something to say about the topic - haven't read your post yet.

I agree with the bumping thing.... I definitely have done that too - make sure you get the morning/afternoon/evening and late night crowd...BUT the comments of 'guess not' after 10 minutes is what makes me crazy!

sometimes if I notice my threads aren't getting responses I use reverse psychology and ask people not to respond to it. That helps too.

I agree with you guys I noticed it also... I mean I am on here ALOT since I haven't been working but most of us are working or GOD FORBID planning our weddings... I am ALL for helping and such but sometimes I need time to read and catch up on posts.

I say all this wedding planning is making us a little too irritable. If you're getting annoyed at someone responding to their own thread, just ignore it. Live and let live. Just my opinion.....don't shoot me or anything.

some people are too friggen sensitive.
Not everyone is going to love your DIYs and your color scheme.
And if you're too afraid to post and not get responses....here's an idea...don't post it!!!

i know that i often skip over threads with titles like 'Does anyone ...' or 'Where can I find ....'
tell us in the title, and more of the people who can help will read it and respond.

That is seriously a very strange thing to bother you and make a post about.... If your saying that you don't like it when someone posts something then 10 minutes later reposts, well you obvisously had to look into that thread again, correct???? So your pretty much going into a thread - not responding (which of course is fine) - then going back into 10 minutes later also?? Doesn't really make sense. If I read a post and have nothing to add, I leave it be. JMO
