...the insane amounts of lotion I've obviously been stockpiling for 100 years!?!?!
I guess it's a sort of impersonalish type gift that people buy for you around the holidays, but I get it faster than I can use it. Most of it is nice stuff, that I probably wouldn't buy myself...but how moisturized can a girl be?!?!? I currently have the following sitting on my dresser at home:
A virtually untouched bottle of Body Shop cranberry shimmer lotion Half a bottle of Bath & Body works Cucumber melon Approximately 7/8ths of a tube of Clinique Happy A large tube of Aveeda, which I actually really like A bottle of White Company that I opened once to smell A smallish bottle of Space UK that I usually forget I even have
and the new additions: Philosophy Muffin Man shimmer lotion a HUGE bottle of Molton Brown from my MIL
And this isn't even including the Mary Kay stuff I have in my desk drawer, the little bottle of B&BW warm vanilla sugar that I keep in my bag or the Burts Bees hand salve I have stashed in my closet!!!
What am I going to do with all this stuff????

LOL, I have the same problem!!!! Luckily people stopped buying me the stuff, and I've forced myself to no longer buy any until I use what I've got!

I had that problem a few years back. I tossed a lot of of it. Especiqallty the bath & bodyworks stuff. It's too perfumey & not moisturizey enough.
I threw out a lot of the soaps too.

I actually have the same problem. And a friend of mine told me that the stuff (specifically the B&BW) loses its potency/smell after some time. So it just blows all ways.

i keep it all stashed away for a day when i feel like smelling pretty...and every now and again i go throught it all and throw out the stuff that changed color or lost it's smell.....

Oh, and about the 'dirty things' you mentioned earlier...that did cross my mind! I'm just letting you know because I didn't want you to take me for some naive innocent or something, not knowing what to do with copious amounts of squishy stuff!
Hmmmm...that gives me an idea...maybe I can make sammiches with it! I'm sure these Brits can't tell the difference between slimy mayonnaise and a little bit o' B&BW

i own practically half of CVS and Sephora, so i know EXACTLY what you are talking about! it is literally an addiction, but a fun one at best!!!!

at least you have lotion..
DW doesn't like to replace the common lotion until it's past empty... like when you have to turn it upside down and let it sit so all the rest comes does the side...

I told my stepsister enough with the lotions - she wouldn't even do B&BW - she would get the crappy stuff in Marshalls or places like that - where the lotion is like liquid and leaves a film on my skin - blechhh.....

Ugh! When we recently moved I came to the realization I needed to remove all B&BW crap from the premises...between lotions and candles we needed to hire a moving truck. If there was anything in there I knew I really had no intentions of using...I junked it! Boy...did that feel good!

I have established a moratorium on lotion buying in my house. Miraculously, I didn't receive any of this for Christmas this year.
What about the free travel size stuff you get at the hotels? I am at the point where I don't want them in the house anymore, but DH still loves taking them home
