Is this what you mean darling?
'One lasting legacy of the Jonestown tragedy is the saying, “Don’t drink the Kool-Aid.” This has come to mean, 'Don’t trust any group you find to be a little on the kooky side.' Of course, you would have to know of Kool-Aid’s dubious connection to Jim Jones to understand the proverb. '

Come on now, we are not children. Just because we may not agree on politics is no reason to insult our intelligence.

darling?

um, no
first of all it has nothing to do with intelligence or being Kooky

it refers to jim jones, a mormon cult leader that gave people kool aid to drink - they were somewhat brain washed you could say

and only DH calls me darling

Ok I have to laugh now...... You really are too much.

Dont get mad bc I knew where the term came from and that the Jim Jones you were speaking about is not the hip hop artist.

Born: 13 May 1931
Birthplace: Crete, Indiana
Died: 18 November 1978 (shot to death)
Best Known As: Christian preacher who led 911 followers to their deaths
Jim Jones was the founder and leader of Jonestown, Guyana, a community of over 900 members of The People's Temple Full Gospel Church, an offshoot of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Jones had been an untrained preacher in Indiana and California before moving his congregation to Guyana to avoid government scrutiny. In November of 1978, U.S. Congressman Leo Ryan visited Jonestown to investigate allegations of human rights abuses. Ryan and his group were murdered at Jonestown, and on November 18, 1978 Jim Jones and 911 of his followers committed suicide or were murdered. Initial reports said the members drank Kool-Aid laced with cyanide, but a report from the Guyanese coroner said that hundreds of the bodies showed needle marks, indicating foul play. The U.S. government has not released all the documents pertinent to their investigation of the incident, further complicating the long-held conspiracy theory that Jonestown was a mind-control experiment conducted by the Central Intelligence Agency.

Unfortunately most kids nowaday when you mention Jim Jones that's who they think we're speaking about.
That's what I thought you were trying to say.

But that's it for me, have a good night.

Snowflake you are calling us young and basically saying we don't know what were talking about but when I directly asked you to give me some policies, plans etc. for your candidate you just continued to attack Obama. Age has nothing to do with intelligence or being an informed person. I am young, educated woman who knows my stuff...age doesn't garner you a degree (although I have several)

in regards to age, yes
i was saying that when i was in my 20's i wanted to donate to everyone and everything
but people have to also help themselves. Charity starts at home

in reference to the jim jones thing, yes, most people in their 20's wouldnt know what i am talking about

its not a negative thing. i'd love to be in my 20s

nighty night

Re: Can someone get me McCain's #?

anyone watching obama's speech at the al smith dinner? he is actually HISTERICAL!!!! he missed his calling hahaha

even john Mccain is histerically laughing. He said to mccain, its nice we can sit here together and be able to discuss things without pre-conditions, and then he said for those who dont know me, here is some info about me and he goes on to say very funny things and says his name barrack is swaheli for 'that one'

and said that someone yelled out 'nobama' bc they feel there are other democratic candidates more qualified then said 'i really wish biden didnt do that'

i wont get into everything he is saying but its non-stop funny.

People tell me I share the politics of Alfred E. Smith and the earns of Alfred E. Neumann'

'I was originally told that we would able to move this outdoors to Yankee Stadium. Can someone tell me what happened to the Greek columns I requested.'

'On the Waldorf Astoria: They tell me, from the doorstep, you can see all the way to the Russian Tea Room.'

To Al Smith IV: 'I obviously never knew your grandfather, but from everything Sen. McCain has told me...'

Mayor Michael Bloomberg's term limits maneuverings caused Bill Clinton to say: 'You can do that?'

The housing crisis 'has been eight times harder on John McCain.'

'The last few weeks, John's been out on the campaign trail asking the question Who Is Barack Obama. I've got to admit, I was surprised by the question: the answer is right there on my Facebook page.'

'I was not born in a manger. I was actually born on krypton....'

'I got my name Barack from my father.... it's actually Swahali for 'That one.'

My middle name, it's not what you think. It's actually 'Steve.'

'There was a point in my life when I started palling around with a pretty ugly crowd.... that's right... I've been a member of the United States Senate.'

'Fox News accused me of fathering two African-American children in wedlock.'
