Re: can someone help me>?!!!
If you're renting an apartment you can get renter's insurance or if you own a home you can get home owner's insurance. Then you list the ring(s) on the policy and they're covered.

If you have renters or homeowners insurance, you can insure your rings under those policies.

Re: can someone help me>?!!!
you can add it onto your house or renter's insurance if you have a house or apartment...
if you don't yet like me-- you can just call whatever company you use for car insurance or choose a different company if you want (i have geico for car and state farm for my ring)... and ask them about it. you are going to need the appraisal so that they have a copy to see the value of the ring and then you pay premiums and decide what plan you want (no deducitble, some ded, etc)...
call any insurance company, price around if you want and the reps on the phone should be able to answer any other ?s you have.
GOOD LUCK!!!
FYI: state farm replaces the exact ring: color, clarity, size, shape, etc. from the GIA certificate and/or as listed on the appraisal. so we had our appraiser low ball the amount so that we didn't have to pay premiums on such a high amount, b/c if we lose the ring-- they will just replace it regardless of the $$ amount the jeweler said it was worth... so he low-balled it a bit to save money on paying annual premiums.
HTH!!!!!!

Most insurance companies willr equire an independent appraisal (one that is not from a jewlery re-seller), and then they can add it as a rider on your current insurance (homeowner's or even renters for some companies) or you can buy a separate jewlery policy.

Re: can someone help me>?!!!
I have mine insured under our renters policy through Allstate. I didn't require an independent appraisal, just the GIA info that came with the ring.
I lived in New Jersey previously and had insurance through State Farm and it was the same thing.

Mine was appraised, then Allstate has it under our renters policy.
