While we were at our food tasting today we were talking about tipping. And i told my FH, my mom , and his mom, that we must tip the Banquet manager the day of the wedding. and they all started argueing with me saying that i was wrong. so can some one please help me out. Am i worng? or are they wrong? their arguement is that they make commission on our wedding so theres no need to tip. i think thats wrong and you must tip them. so SOME ONE HELP ME!

In my contract there is a mandatory 18% fee for the service. You can tip your banquet manager if you want to, but i think the fee is his tip.
ps: but you should definitely tip the bridal attendant on the day of

well the matrid` (spelled wrong) is up to us to tip and there is an 18% fee and id idnt knwo if that included her?

i've been told by most halls that on top of everything else, they reccomend a maitre d tip aditionally

I have to pay my maite d $500, do i have to tip him on top of that
no if they give u a set price for the maitre d then u do not have to tip on top of that unless u feel u want to. they didnt give me a set price on that so i have to tip her to my liking at the end of the night.
as for the banquet manager. im not sure what i do. its someone different then the matred`

In the long run, it's your money and you tip who ever you want to tip! Every place I've been to said the 18-20% gratuity includes everyone but the Maitre D so I would assume you don't tip the banquet manager unless you really loved them and want to.
