Can there be a Matrin and A Maid of Honor?

My cousin is married and my best friend is not. I was my cousins MOH but I would like my BFF to be my MOH. Can i have my cousin be my matrin of honor and my BFF be my MOH?? Please help. Also does anyone have a bridesmaid in their party to avoid hurting the person.

I was going to have 2 maids of honor but one girl will be married by the time of my wedding so now i have one maid and one matron!

I think its fine!

Yes i added someone for the sake of not hurting their feelings. but i'm glad i did it anyway

yup! my friend had 2 matrons of honor, and one maid of honor... and 2 BMs. i think having 3 was a little excessive, becasue it took away some of the 'Special-ness' of being MOH. BUT, 2 is definitely ok, especially if you can't choose between 2 people!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. I will be having one of each plus 4 maids. There is someone I am not asking and I worry I might hurt her feelings. She thinks of me as a much better friend then I think of her. I live in NY and she move to LA about 3 years ago or more. We speak maybe once a month or every other. I know she will be crushed. But then I will have 7 maids on a destination wedding and my FH only has 3-4
