Can this dress be dyed?

I am SO in love w. this dress to wear to a wedding. Every place has it in this gold color, but I wanted it in black.
The website isn't saying what material it is....
It just says its
'Tissue Taffeta tea-length dress. Self gathers accent the shoulder straps and front and back bodice.'

What do u girls think? Do u trust it?

My bm's are tissue taffeta from bill levkoff. The material is very light, you hardly notice it is on!
