Are there/were there people you invited to your wedding- that you really did not want to?

We have friends with significant others that I could od with out- those obligatory family friends I would rather not invite-

yup- I hate having to think that our wedding is 'having to do the right thing'! Isn't doing the right thing just inviting who you really want there. I fear that I will be made to feel uncomfortable at my own wedding!!! Who knows, I guess at that point, I truely won't care.

Looks like we're all in the same boat girlie!

Yes, there are a few people on my father's side that I could care less if they were there or not and some people on my FI's list. I have not seen my FIL's list yet...

I do not in any way shape or form want children at my wedding. BUT his childish aunt is throwing a hissy fit asking who the heck do I think I am to not invite children at the wedding and that if I dont invite her children she isnt coming to the wedding.

Oh heLL that sure started a family war. Not the way I wanted to start with his family. So I bit my lip really hard and said fine children at the wedding.

I am not happy about it, but I would rather keep peace then start a family war.

I also told my mother as sure as the sky is blue I do NOT want her mother, her 2 brothers or their children (my cousins) at my wedding. She respects my decision on that.
