One bedroom apts in manhattan are going for almost $700,000?????

I want to live in the city but, come on, that is CRAZY!!!!

The CHEAPEST one br I can find in the area I want to live, that is a decent size, nothing huge, trust me like 750 sq ft or more, is $599,000

Re: Can you believe...

I think there was an article in last month's Town & Country regarding NYC real estate. The writer basically said if you want a 2nd bedroom, add another million to the cost. It's crazy...and a shame.

Re: Can you believe...

Crazy and true. Most 'true' two bedrooms i.e. not one br converted to two, are over a million now. Now, that, I just won't do. For a million, I can live in a nice house in Long Island in a great area, well, maybe, a small house, lol

Anyway, I know they keep saying things are going to go down but, I rented this year instead of buying for that reason and now everything is up like 15 percent. But, I can't imaine one bedrooms going for any more than this...CAN YOU????
