Who's been there? Where did you stay? FH and I are thinking of going since neither of us has ever been before....and we need to get AWAY from all this rain!!

And be sure when yiu get a hotel, make sure it has beach in front of it, a few lost their beach from bad weather years back.

I've been there twice... stayed at the Beach Palace and The Royal Mayan Beach Club... the latter was DEFINITELY better, by far... but there's sooooo much to do in Cancun, you'll hardly be in your room at all (if you're anything like me!). It was FUN!

Ive been a few times.

If you are going with your FH/DH, then I would recommend going to Puerta Vallarta as opposed to Cancun which is more of a high school / college crowd.

Wow flashback. I went in 94 and stayed at the Cancun Palace. Very nice hotel...they all are actually! If you go in the fall you'll miss the kiddy crowd and get more of an adult kiddy crowd.

I went for my senior year of HS Spring Break in 1995, stayed at the OASIS.....so much fun but I was way too immature to really appreciate it! And I still have scars from the worst sunburn I ever got! But overall a fun place.

I know it gets young there, that's why I wouldn't DREAM of going in the spring...I know a few people that went with their families in the summertime so I figure it would be a little older crowd in August...we just need to go somewhere that's not too expensive but has a beach, sunlight and nightlife...

We went in August, and stayed at the Oasis, and there was a totally different crowd then in spring break, there were alot of couples but then there were also alot of young people, just not too young. We had a really oggd time, but the hotel wasn't the greatest.

Rebecca have you considered Cabo San Lucas? It's supposed to be a blast....and a nightlife the likes of Cancun, but a better crowd!

Lara, thats where we went last vacation! And YES we loved it, it was the best, most relaxing, yet fun vacation so far with plenty of grown ups to play with, lol. But we don't want to go back there when there are other places we haven't been to (I've been almost nowhere though, so I'm easy)

when we went, we went to the Giggling Marlin, where FH got hung upside down on a hook like a fish and we went to El Squid Roe which was this open air club - FH must have overtipped the waiter because the guy was searching US out for drinks, rather than us looking for him, and then we went to another place that I can't remember the name...might have been Sammy Hagar's place, I don't remember. But we saw Bob Saget there w/ this YOUNG little hootchie...he arm wrestled this big guy we were with...I tell everyone to go there! It was sooooo fun!
