Candid Life Like

Anyone have experience w/ Candid Life Like photography? I met with them while In NY this weekend. Real nice lady (Kathy), just seems so damn expensive! Things are so much cheaper in F.L.
Has anyone had any luck w/ photographers under $3k (including album, proofs, various sized prints, etc.).
