Thanks so much for sharing! I actually just came on to see how you girls are gluing the vellum on - I have double sided tape strips and wasn't sure if that would be best??? I'm gonna try and start mine tonight!

By the way yours came out great!!

Actually, the vellum paper didnt work out too well....I put it on and lit the candle just to see the effect. It looked great but we left it lit while we ate lunch...and my mom was like 'whats that smell??'..the vellum paper started to melt from the heat! SOOO...I resorted to option two which was a frosted glass spray paint I bought from Michaels which worked great! Its in the etched glass isle. I think the brand starts with a Y? Not sure, its at my moms =( anyway, you just tape the cylinder and cover the exposed areas with newspaper. Bring it outside because the paint is a little fumey. Spray the cylinder with the paint until you reach the desired effect. Once it dries in about 20 minutes, remove the tape and newspaper.

I bought the numbers from loews in the 'house number' section. They are just sticky backed so they go right on. Any that was really it! I glued a jewel on top and put crystals in the bottom...filled it half way with water and dropped in the floating candle.

It was actually pretty easy. I did keep it lit for a while to make sure the sticky numbers didnt melt. They seem fine! Not sure why the vellum paper didnt hold up, but it could possibly be just the brand i used??

Hope this helps! I wish the numbers were a little more formal thought. I was going to buy a stencil and paint them on but it honestly just seemed like too much work

vases were from Michaels. They were on sale this past week for $1.99, usually they are $3.99. I think they are 10.5 in size.
