Candy Bar HELP Needed.....please :)

So we're set on doing a candy bar....

Luckily, our RH is providing us with bowls to put the candy in which is WONDERFUL....but we did buy ONE urn type thing - so i figure the urn can be in the middle and the regular bowls can be around it in a circle...

Now my ?? - what should we put in the big urn type one? I wanted to do m&m's or something, but Dave & other friends have said it's not a good idea to have open candy....

Thoughts?

The urn thingy is VERY similar to this:

yes - maybe twizzlers with some lollipops or something like that...

One of my friends just suggested the small candy bars...

Maybe ring pops???

I think if you do a loose candy like M & Ms it's fine. Just add a scoop so people could serve themselves.

I like your idea of m&ms.with a scoop of course to deter those grubby fingers - haha

maybe the m&ms with the lolly pops stuck in top like a flower arrangement

oh- or hershey kisses in your wedding colors..what are your colors?

theu have a bunch of different kinds with diff. wrappers now.

ETS.. they do have blue ones..they are cocnut cream or something

i like reeses peanut butter cups.

i think whatever you want to put in it is perfect.
if you have a scoop the M&M's would be fine.

Have you seen the bowls from the Fox Hollow? Are they clear?

i haven't seen them, no - i'm assuming they are clear though...

My colors are i have no idea. the girls are in a dark blue/purpley color(not what i wanted but what can ya do?)....the flowers are all red..

i just went to a wedding with a candy bar. most of the candy she put out was open candy and they all had scoops. she had all white candy: m&ms, mini marshmallows, rock candy, spearmint lifesavers, mentos...and that's all i can think of right now. so i don't think having candy with scoops is that bad!

also, they have dark chocolate kisses, which come in a dark purple wrapper. if you wanted to match the BM dresses! i'm sure whatever you use will be great!
