Candy buffet - candy and jars/containers

Hi all,

For those of you who are doing (or did) a candy buffet, where did you get your candy jars and candy?

I want to do all creme and gold for mine. Is that even possible? Lol

Oh and how do you know how much of each candy to get based on the amount of guests?

I did not do a candy buffet but you can buy containers at Home Goods, Marshalls and Christmas Tree Shop. As far as candy, lots of people bought it from BJ's Costco, Sam's or when candy is on sale. Not sure what the equation is for how much candy to buy but I'm sure you can google. Also, make sure your venue allows it first, Mine did not! HTH

Candy buffet - candy and jars/containers

I searched online for who had the cheapest prices. I bought through Walmart (online), Amazon, Groupon (for gourmet lollipops), and Oriental Trading Company for most of the candy I bought. My dh went into the city to get the M&Ms in our wedding colors so we didn't have to pay for shipping. He had to go in to the city for something else anyway so it worked out.

As for quantity I had a hard time figuring this out to be honest. I had 120 guests and bought roughly 4-6 lbs of each candy type. I did have leftovers too.

i dont know if it's more expensive, but the candy shop in the deer park outlets has the M&Ms in colors. and if you go/while you are there... christmas tree shop has some foods (candy?) cheap too!

also... this time of year is great for sales and coupons at drug stores, etc. EASTER! (check expiration dates to make sure they will be good on your wedding day!)
