I was at marshalls and they had these huge cear glass vases that I seen at a candy bar. I really dont have table assign for candy. but I would love to get like 6 or 7 and fill with different candies?
what should I do? How do I get this done? I think I need to speak with the hall?

Re: Candy table or something like that
I know a 2010 bride is doing this - it's actually Jessie (FutuerJOC's) FSIL (i think lol).
She posted just yesterday a picture of her jars that she is using.
I would 'think' you would need to talk to the RH just to make sure they set up a table for you to put the cars/candy but i think its a great idea!!!!
ETA: the 2010 bride is jilliibabii

Re: Candy table or something like that
I am doing a candy buffet as my favors. I purchased about 25-30 different jars and plan on filling them with all types of candy. If you dont want to do something so big you can do it on a smaller scale. I would speak to your RH because i had to get special permission and they had to see my jars

I'm doing the candy bar too, likely as the favor. We negotiated the candy bar into the contract with the RH, all we have to do is supply the candy. So talk to your hall and find out the details of doing it, they'll probably be able to provide insight into what you need and how to get it done.

wow! I can't believe they had to see your jars! I'm thinking of doing this too and I asked about it when I booked, but I don't know too many of the details

Re: Candy table or something like that
As it was explained to me the reason they needed to see my jars was to make sure they were up to the standards of the hall. They have had brides bring in paper goods or plastic bins to serve from which reflects badly on them as a hall. Their guests or whoever they show their pics to will see these items.
This was one of the first things i asked because i knew it would be cheaper if i did it myself than paying the hall to do it per person

I think the candy bar is such a great idea!! Never thought of it, but after seeing many past brides' pictures, they came out fantastic!!! What type of candy is everyone planning on using?

Re: Candy table or something like that
The theme of my wedding is chocolates so naturally i have to have an assortment of chocolates. In addition I will have candy from our childhood (lemonheads, taffy) and everything else we can think of. We will also have sugar free candy for the diabetics in the family

Re: Candy table or something like that
My friend did it at her wedding last year. It as actually really cool. She got like old school candy like now and laters, fun dip, etc. It was a really nice treat towards the end of the wedding.

I bought a whole bunch of jars at Marshall's and I'll probably get a few more. You can use my jars since I won't really need them after the wedding anyway.
I love you Nessa- You just saved me sooooo much money... BTW i want to plan a weekend getaway with u and mish
