Wouldn't it be great if all of our babysitter-less relatives could become friends and then they'd have people to watch their kids?!?

Since I sent out my Save the Dates I've had people ask me if the kids are invited and everything has gone smoothy - SO FAR!! But I was very happy that they asked before hand and not when the invites are out.

Re: Can't anything go smoothly????

We spread the word the second we got engaged. FH has 4 nieces and nephews and they all live OOS. To be honest, if they lived here on LI I wouldn't be having them at the reception. My first cousins alone have 30 kids. This was not an issue when they were getting married as the generations in my family don't overlap. My brother was by far the youngest and he was in high school. My cousins never had to deal with the issue when they all got married 12-16 years ago. Since then there hasn't been a wedding in my family. I think the sheer number of kids are working in our favor. Our guest list of 90 adults have 55 children. Once people heard that and that if we had to do for one we would have to do for all they shut up.

To be honest, I didn't even offer babysitting because I'd be paying a fortune for it. They were told 11 months ahead of time. More than enough time to figure it out.

If people aren't going to be there for you just because they can't bring their two year old then they probably wouldn't be there for you anyway.

If my one cousin with EIGHT KIDS can get babysitters all of your guests should be able to figure it out.
