Cant find a reception hall b/c Im soooo picky

Original post by divabride

Now Im worried Im going to run out of places to look. There's nothing out there that pleases me. I just want a place on the water that doesnt look dumpy outside, has nice grounds, not centrally located on a main road (noise factor), has good food, holds only one wedding at a time and all within my budget. I have yet to find a place that meets all of my qualifications thats within my budget. I think Im being too picky, but nothing really stands out. What am I going to do?

have you tried Lands End? Its a bit pricey but meets all of your criteria. Or check out Chateau La Mer - meets your criteria except one - there are no gardens there...the beauty of it is that its right on the Great South Bay.

You should check out Old Field club. It was a beautiful setting on the water off the beaten path. Really pretty inside too. We went with P.J. Country Club only b/c we had too many people for Old Field club. I know Port Jeff is a little far, but it fits with lots of other stuff you're looking for. If you talk to them before May 1st, they're still running 'pre-opening' prices... Good Luck!

What is your budget ? If you're looking @ the Crescent or Lands End - They are BOTH absolutely beautiful and the food is amazing - but they are very pricey - especially for a 'peak beach season' wedding -
