car problems AGAIN - long...

so - not sure who remembers my situation on labor day weekend - my car was parked and someone smashed into it and crushed the whole front drivers side.

so, its finally fixed today and parked by my parents, so i go to pick it up and i press on the gas and it doesnt accelerate!! so im like, ok am i being a dumb girl and is it in neutral or something??? nope, just not accelerating, AND the check engine light is on. mind you, i got an oil change and inspection 3 weeks ago.

so i drive it (by drive, i mean go 5 mph because the car wont accelerate) to my regular mechanic (not the one who fixed it)

turns out, when a nissan's battery is unplugged for an extended period of time, the computer needs to be rebooted when its plugged back in. so, now its back at the mechanic, and i probably have to cancel my anniversary trip to AC on friday.

wahhh no we share a car - we live together.

and my parents have somewhere to go so we cant borrow theirs. WAHHHHHHHHHHHH

wow - i'm sorry that's awful.

borrow a car or take the train - seriously right out of penn station. my sister does it all the time to visit a friend who lives around there.

don't cancel your trip!

renting a car actually isn't bad - you can take it to jersey and even if you get a standard car it will cost like 150 max - plus you don't have to worry about putting any wear and tear on your car!

Enterprise.com 74 dollars for the smallest cars for friday-monday.. I quoted it for wantagh where i live but try where ever u live. City might be more (but then take train to li or where ever to pick up) dont cancel your trip!!!!

its just so annoying. we thought it was all over, now we're back at square one.

Steal my car? If u dont get in a accident no one everrrrr knows.... if you do... you go to jail!! worth a shot!! jk... Anyway it can be fixed by Friday? what about a bus down there?
