Card Box Help
I'm trying to find a card box that fits the feel of our wedding. Usually in my family someone (an older aunt or someone) holds a bag that the cards are collected in, but I don't want anyone to feel its their job to guard our gifts and not enjoy themselves.I'm not really into those tall card boxes that look like stacked presents. While I love birdcages and old suitcases, our wedding has a more modern feel and I think they're too vintage-y and might look out of place. Any suggestions for finding a fun, modern card box? TIA!

Re: Card Box Help
They have the wood ones on a lazy susan that you can put a picture on each side. You might even be able to make one with 8x10 frames. You can use engagement photos or family photos. I was going to do this but decided to use the pictures for table numbers instead.

We're doing this. You can get them on Etsy! They come in white or black.

We did the 8x10 frames that spins, DH made it, wasn't hard at all. You can look up directions online. Everyone loved it and we have a few people who want to borrow it for their weddings coming up.

I love the 8 by 10 too...or you can do a lantern...homegoods has tons..different sizes, finishes, some more modern, some more rustic...I'm deciding between those two

Thanks ladies, I really like the idea of the photo one. I might try making it, they seem kind of expensive on Etsy. Did guests know what to do with it?

Yup! Every card was in there so my guess is there were no troubles! I also had a sign next to it that was in a frame that said thank you to our friends and family etc. People kept coming up to us saying how much they loved it during the night and after. Plus it was easy to take with us when we left the RH at the end of the night (its one of the few things we took, we picked everything else up after our hm). We originally were going to do a blue mat with 5x7 pictures but then decided to do the full 8x10s instead but you could do either. They sell the mats in different colors and they aren't expensive at all.
My only suggestion is to buy thicker frames. We originally bought thinner frames and when dh went to screw everything together the thinner frames started to split so we had to go back and buy thicker ones that are in the picture.

Can I ask how many guests you had? I'd be nervous/I'm hoping that all the cards might not fit hahaha

Re: Card Box Help
We had 120, invited 156 and we had some people bring cards from people who had said no and dh's sister put a Yankees coloring book in it as a joke since he's a mets fan and I'm a Yankees fan. We still had plenty of room in it.
