I was just wondering what you ladies will use. Both brides of the weddings I was in this summer had both a card box and one of those satin pouches and didn't use them. What do you plan on doing?
Does it freak you out to leave a box with all envelopes out behind the dais? There are some sketchy 'kids' that work at halls...hmmmm Maybe I'm just too paranoid lol
i will probably do a card box, the weight inside thing is a great idea but fh's dad said he is in charge of watching it, so he'll bodyguard our cardbox
It's cheaper than some card boxes too!

I am doing a card box.... but might also walk around with a pouch when I go table to table.... i am not too sure yet....

As of now I am doing a bird cage -- similiar to the one posted above. It will be near FH's grandfather -- he said he wants that to be his job!
I will probably have a satin bag as well. This way if people hand me envelopes I can put them in there and then transfer them when I get a chance.

I'm having a card box. Currently the top is only on with velcro but I think we are going to nail the top on for the wedding.

I am getting a monogrammed pouch.. FH saw it and didn't like the box idea- we're putting the pouch in care of his parents.

same here! Dad's in charge of the card box and he's 6'3' so no one is messin w/ him!

We're using a card box but we're putting it right in front of our table-it will be right in front of the whole room. I'll tell my brother and guy family members to keep an eye, but I'm hoping that it's safe where it is... Stinks we need to worry about this stuff on our wedding day!

I honestly had never heard of a card box before until i read about it on other threads...I've never seen any brides use them at wedings I've been in or been to.
At Greek weddings it's customary to give envelopes at the end of the reception as you leave so you can also get your favor, so I figured i'd just put the envelopes in a little bag at that time.
