Can I play too? This sounds fun. Are you doing general greating cards or strictly holiday cards?

Add me too! I'd love to try this. Could someone maybe post all of the 'rules' in one post, especially when they have to be done by.

Re: Card Swap ***Crafty Fun***
Can you post a RULE POST? I have never done this before so I would like to understand it a bit better. Is this for Holiday Time or General Use Cards? Here are some questions: - what are the EXACT rules? - How is the mailing paid for? Do we send a check to the hostess?
I might want to play, but again, I have never done this before so I would like to understand better first.

Mish...are you going to post the Rules?
I posted some but I think it needs to be in one post.

Re: Card Swap ***Crafty Fun***
Here are some rules to start off with:
You make one card for each person in the group, including yourself. RIght now there are 10 or 11 women interested so we can split up into 2 groups if 10 cards is more then some people want to make.
They are all sent to the hostess in ziploc bags to protect them from water damage by the due date. It is good ettiquette to include something for the hostess for doing the swapping.
You also send a pre-addressed return envelope and enough stamps to have the package returned to you. When figuring out postage to include, I add 2 stamps to what I had to pay to send the item to the hostess which have been returned if not used.
I think it's too much to ask someone to do banking and worry about change regarding the postage.
It has been my experience that the cards are swapped out within 5 days of the due date and then you keep checking your mailbox for goodies That's the best part!

Re: Card Swap ***Crafty Fun***
Are these Holiday cards or General Use cards? Sorry, but again..this is new to me. Also, I don't have much scrapbooking equipment or experience with this. So I doubt my cards would compare to some of the very experienced girls...is that a problem?

Re: Card Swap ***Crafty Fun***
IMO, all homemade cards are wonderful! They don't have to be fancy to be considered beautiful:D
I am under the impression it is a holiday card swap.

Re: Card Swap ***Crafty Fun***
I would like to add something to the 'rules'
This was discussed on one of the scrapbooking boards, on whether or not to 'sign' the back of the cards.
some people siad that they didnt because if someone sends it out, people will know they didnt do it. but others said we should be cause its our design.
What do you guys think?? to sign or not??

Re: Card Swap ***Crafty Fun***
I would never pretend to have made something I didn't but I wouldn't want to call attention to the fact either- that is JMO.
