Hi, I'm looking to have my wedding at the Carltun but I'm a little worried that there will not be a great selection of food at the cocktail. My family are big time food people, and the Carltun is only offering 5 stations at the cocktail hour. We've went to look at other places and they have offered 10-15 stations, so that's why I feel like the Carltun doesn't offer alot... Has anyone ever been to the Carltun for a wedding? any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Carltun on the Park food????
We went to a wedding there about 3 years ago and I have to say -- it was hands down the best wedding I've ever been to!!
No exaggeration. The food is AMAZING and there was SO MUCH at the cocktail hour.
my FH and I went there when we were first looking at RH's and I LOVED it -- but alas, it was out of my price range, since we were set on a saturday night.

Re: Carltun on the Park food????
my friend got married there this past summer and the food was great and plentiful. don't forget - it's not always about the quantity or variety as long as you have the staples. we had 6 stations and 12 passed at our wedding and it was more than enough.

Re: Carltun on the Park food????
I'm getting married at the Carltun!!! There will be PLENTY of food at the CH...don't you worry :) You get 5 stations (we are adding a few more) but within each station you get a variety of food. For example, if you choose the hot Italian station you can have Lasagna bolognese, Fried Calamari and Lobster Manicotti (You get 3 things in the 1 station). and don't forget...you also get 16 passed hors d'oeuvres!! And if you are truly concerned there will not be enough food, just add more stations. That will ease your mind :)

Re: Carltun on the Park food????
sometimes its not about how many stations but about the quality of the food....some places that offer 10 stations ...food may not be great and trust me the 5 stations are great and you will never run out of food...by the end of cocktail hr guests will not want to eat anymore....and lets just say i know a LOT about the carltun.. only reason didnt go w/ it was b/c too $...you will not be disappointed with the food OR the service...everyone is great there!

Re: Carltun on the Park food????
I just had my shower there, and we had a couple of passed hors devouers (sp?) and crudites, then the entrees. No fancy stations, but I will tell you that the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious! Everything I had was absolutely amazing. I wouldn't worry for one second because I would prefer quality over quantitiy any day! And as the pp said, the service is fantastic! I wish I was having my wedding there, but we couldn't meet the min!

Re: Carltun on the Park food????
Our wedding was at the Carltun last June and I have been to MANY other weddings and events there and I have never heard anything but praise about the food quality and abundance. In fact, we saw a guest about 8 months after the wedding (who we hadn't seen since the wedding) and the first thing she spoke about when the topic came up was how great the food at the Cartlun was. She went in detail to tell us what she ate that night and it was 8 months later!

Re: Carltun on the Park food????
I have noticed that some catering halls make a list of the dishes they will be giving to you and some list them as stations. One night I listed all of the food that was given to me in a station and compared it to other catering halls that listed them differently and it was almost the same. For example, one pasta station might just be 2 pastas but then it comes with ravioli, mussels, etc.

Re: Carltun on the Park food????
So excited to read there is another CARLTUN BRIDE -- we are a few
The main reason we selected the Carltun was the FOOD!! I come from a family who LOVES to eat... and FH is a huge critic when it comes to food.
