Hi, I'm looking to have my wedding at the Carltun but I'm a little worried that there will not be a great selection of food at the cocktail. My family are big time food people, and the Carltun is only offering 5 stations at the cocktail hour. We've went to look at other places and they have offered 10-15 stations, so that's why I feel like the Carltun doesn't offer alot... Has anyone ever been to the Carltun for a wedding? any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Carltun on the Park food????
I am seriously considering the carltun for my wedding. I noticed that they have MANY dates left for 2012 in the fall, unlike other venues on the island like Carlyle on the Green and The Royalton at Roslyn CC. Why is this? The price is very comparable to these other venues. is this something to be worried about? Is it because they do not advertise?
I hear the food is amazing. Is the Cocktail Hour indoor/outdoor space big enough for 275 guests? Is the ball room even big enough for that? They said the max would be 275 but I find that hard to believe. If we rent our own chairs, smaller than the bigger wooden ones, we can fit more people. Do you agree?
thanks for your opinions and advice:)

Re: Carltun on the Park food????
Hi and welcome
I am a Carltun bride, getting married Sept next year. I have been to the Carltun so I have to tell you the food is excellent. Also I know people in the restaurant and catering business who will hands down agree with me. I am also not saying this to sound biased.
As of the CH... we are having a little more then 275. The space in the CH/ outside will def hold that many people and comfortably. The ballroom is huge. The last wedding I was at there were about as many as you plan on having and it spacious.
Have you made an appointment to see it yet? Who are you meeting with?

The food there is AMAZING! Maybe you can ask for a 6 station when you negotiate price? Are any passed apps included in the package?
