CARLYLE BRIDE THREAD!!!!

I know there aren't many of us on here but I decided since some other halls have a 'thread' lets make one for us!

I LOVE talking to other Carlyle brides

I know since I booked- back in May, they changed a few things on the menu- I had just noticed it when I looked at a the menu when Carlyle had the bridal showcase last month!

Anyone else worried about the cocktail hour room being too small for your guests?

No, there are no attendants. They don't provide a basket either, but if you prepare one, they will put it out.

I actually prefer to not have attendants - i've always hated when there are bathroom attendants because i feel obligated to tip them for handing me a paper towel when i'm perfectly capable of doing it myself.
Yes, they might make sure the bathroom is clean - but if you remember the bathrooms at the Carlyle are actually really big and beautiful, i can't imagine them getting too dirty.

I know they're big and clean, I would just like to have someone in there making sure they stay that way. Not that my guests are going to be slobs and make a mess, it's just peace of mind. I hope they have them. I'd tip them myself and ask them not to have a tip cup out.

I know this is off topic, but does anyone know if the Carlye gives a discount for the band to eat dinner there? I read somewhere that they discount them by 50%, but not sure if that is true or not. Thanks!

All vendor meals are 1/2 the regular price and they seat them in the cocktail hour room so they're not in with the regular guests.

hi ladies just to let you know there are attendants for the bathroom. i actually requested that they 'hang around' and check on the bathrooms but not sit in them..no worries. they take care of everything..and you do have to do your own baskets.

I just asked my parents and they think they remember an attendant. I never used the guest's bathroom so I have no idea but I swear I had asked and was told no. Sorry for the misinformation!

Next question...lighting in the ballroom. I remember Gary mentionind 'pinpoint' lighting for the tables, that would illuminate your CP's. I was at a wedding this weekend and they had that and it just looked beautiful. Can anyone confirm the Carlyle has that?
