Has anyone ever eaten there before the show? Is the food expensive? Do you know how much the cover is for the show? TIA

Don't remember the actual cost. But the food (we order appetizers and two drinks a piece) came to over $200 for four people. We also had to pay to get in. I'm thinking it was a lot as well. The show was good, but the food and drinks were so so.

The food and drinks were okay....nothing to write home about. I think for the four of us it was like $250..plus the cover charge. It was fun though

I enjoyed the food, its not overpriced.. its basic midtown nyc pricing. enjoy carolines!

I've been there twice and had a really good time. It's a two drink minimum and the drinks are around $10-12 for mixed cocktails. I haven't eaten the food there though I saw some other people having it and it looked okay, but not great. What I did both times I went was I had dinner next door at Ruby Foo's FIRST and then just had drinks at Caroline's. If you haven't been there, you should check it out. It's got really tasty Asian fusion food and, from what the other posters are saying, the price is comparable and it's good quality food. Here's the website: Ruby Foo's

Go to the Comedy Cellar in the Village. Its a great time...small but they always have great comedians! Its reasonable too!

I agree it is expensive and the food is so so. Go for the show, but eat elsewhere.

I would suggest eating somewhere else before, i don't remember the food being that good
