Ewww-when I came home tonight there was a swarm of carpenter ants around my door entrance and patio---what is the best way to get rid of them???

omg you must call an exterminator I had them, called and never had them since we used suburban dani--- trust me get rid of them!! they were in my wall, they get in from outside, if you have an IVY Looking things near your home, the exterminator told us to rip it out!! DO u want their number they are good I havent had any ants since they treated me and Keep treating like twice a year

I feel sooo skeeved out right now!!! There were a few out last week and FH sprayed ant killer all over and they were gone for awhile but they're back again! We live on the first floor of a hi-ranch and there's no shrubs/plants by my entrance so I don't know where they're coming from Thank god i'm moving soon before they get in the walls Why don't you give me the number in case-thanks Tammy

what about putting out fabric softner? someone posted here a while back that this helps keeps ants away!

I think the fabric softener thing was for little ants carpenter ones are big and numerous yuck, I hope you get rid of them soon I know how you feel when they were dead on the floor I screamed! LOL
made craig come and get them w/a vacuum I couldnt take them

Ugh! I was told they are worse than termites from the exterminator who checked the house we are buying.

I cant believe it we just used Suburban yesterday for the same thing. Carpenter Ants and Carpenter Bees. We saw the bees but werent sure about the ants. They were under our deck and in around our tree. From what I have read you really need to have them professionally treated.

EEEWWW - no idea how to get rid of them. I guess calling an extermintaor is the best away. I hope they go away - FAST!

If you don't mind, what did Suburban charge you? I got a quote for $285 from my guy for the initial and then they wanted 35 per month to do follow up every 3 months. I thought that was alot, maybe I'm wrong.

not sure b/c we have a contract now so I paid a lot last year for the year have to look it up its more w/out a contract- when u have a contract though whenever you call them they come, I once saw a couple of spiders and they came
