Okay here is the deal. The bestman knows a guy who runs his own catering business. For me he is giving me a waitering staff for $500 and for the meats, sides, pasta dishes, soup, salad bar, desserts and fruit baskets on each table for $25 a head. I did the math, $3000. But in all honesty I was going to set up my own salad bar and bring my own desserts that I can get for a steal at sams club. Do you think I should ask try to do that on my own for a lower price, or am I pushing my luck? What do you all think?

Re: Catering question
I think the less you have to do on your wedding day, the better. If you can afford to have someone else do the work, then have them do it.
