Yes but i dont like that church so they will just become parishioners of the church I pick...I dont want to have it at that church because my nephew funeral was there...not so good memories
only you and Fh has to become members.
yes but if we dont want to our parents can
well as long as the church is fine with that then thats great...I know one girl who had to start attending church every sunday if she wanted to become a member and it was them themselves who had to. I would look at churches you like and find out their policies...its one thing when parents are members for a while and then their kids get married, but for them to join and then turn around to say their kids are getting married not sure how it works...but again this varies from church to church, some are EXTREMELY strict others are more lenient.
also find out if they have foccus and pre-cana there or if you would have to attend it at a different church

Nah, not doing the church thing, though about it tho.
I'm not either, but I didnt even give it a thought... I was always dead set against it. FH & I dont go to church... havent been in years and we are farrr from religious so it jus doesnt make any sense to us to have it in a church... Of course mom and her super religious side of the fam are upset about that... They first thing out of their mouth 'well you know a catholic priest wont marry outside the church..' my response 'who needs a priest?' LOL I'm pretty sure I said it in a much nicer way though
I'm not getting married in a church either and FH and I go to church almost every sunday, i read the bible and it doesn't say that marriage has to be performed in a church so we are going to get married outside but, we want to make sure our pastor is there.
