Re: Cavo? anyone been there
yes ive been there many times...The place is absolutely gorgeous. They have a huge outside garden in the back with a waterfall, the inside is all lit by candles and its all couches...Hmmm theres a website let me get it
ITS GREAT!!!!! Denise explained it well. They recently re-did it and its amazing inside and out. There are 2 rooms and they made a lounge area in the smaller room with tables and couches for table service. Did your friend get a table? Get there early bec if you get there late, a huge line forms and you have to wait forever to get in, unles you have a table, you can just walk right in. They play a mix of music and a good looking crowd.

I haven't heard of Cavo but I've heard of Cabo?!
it's a greek restaurant/club in queens, Cabo is a vaca spot in Mexico
I was just at Cavo last night with my friends for my belated Bday! One of my friends loved i so much that she was thinking of having her wedding there. She wants a very small ceremony.

I was thinking of having my e-party there but it would be hard to do a saturday night bc you basically have to pay extra for them to close it down

A wedding, that may be possible, but a really small wedding I imagine. I was thinking about having a party there myself, I dont think they will close down the place, its just a section for your event will be closed off, like in the big room, once you enter to your right, that is a good space, but people will be interacting with outsiders. I was at Cavo once when they were having a shower, people were all over the place, just too hecht. But in your case for a wedding, they may close it down, call them and ask.
You want a small wedding, I just called the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City to ask about e-parrty. You may want to look into that.

yeah exactly, they do have parties there but like you said theres other people all around, and i wouldn't want that and then to have the place to ourselves would've been too much.
Ooo the metropolitan building is gorgeous, i love it

The only thing is that the Metro does not provide liquor .
Risses have your friend look into Remi Ultra Lounge also in Astoria for a small wedding, its really nice and I beleive they will close down the whole place just for a private event

BTW: we had dinner there (9pm reservation) & we were able to keep the table all right. Which was awsome b/c it was in a prime location, (by the window, & door by the stairs leading to the garden & steps away from unclogged passage to the bar ; in the room the DJ is in.
