CD Favors

I have seen a lot of you posting about CDs as favors. I totally love this idea, but I have some questions. Did you create the CDs yourself? What program did you use to make the covers? Please fill me in on all you wonderful ideas. Thanks so much.

Re: CD Favors

If you dont have a CD burner (or dont have plans of getting one) - its not a very feasible idea. If you do - burning CDs costs practically nothing if you buy in bulk.

I designed my covers using a photo editing software and then imported that into a CD label maker. THe label making software came with my CD burner. The paper is a little on the expensive side so go to a computer show where you can buy it for 1/4 of what staples charges.

Re: CD Favors

Thanks so much. I have a CD-Burner. I really like the CD idea. Which software did you use? I believe I have seen a picture of your and really liked it. Now when you talk about the paper, do you mean the CD insert papers? What I mean is in a regular CD that you buy in the store, the CD insert folds open. Is that how you did yours? If you would rather forum me, that is fine too. Thanks again

Re: CD Favors

I bought high gloss paper inserts. I didnt have a little booklet that is standard with most commerical CDs because we decided at the last minute to do the CD favors in addition to what we had already bought so I didnt have the time/patience to start another major project.

If you want to do a booklet, I think you will probably have to use regular paper and cut it to size because a) it needs to be printed on both sides and b) depending on the # of pages, the size will vary.

Hope that helps.
